Laura Lee Bishop

December 16th, 2009

I had the pleasure of photographing the local artist Laura Lee Bishop this past weekend in a downtown parking garage. The inside was lined with white brick wall, concrete floors, and ceiling; I setup shop and lit the place up like a studio.

Got outside just after the sun began to hide….

….and found this amazing hole of light where the sun was bouncing off a gold building behind us. Light like this is to good to pass up, just something you can’t plan for, and you HAVE to take advantage of.

Then back inside with the rest of her band.

Another Zack follower – Tyler, this is an amazing shoot!

The compositional thought thats gone into the shots is to be commended, and I’m liking the way you’ve balanced light to draw it all in.

I’ve got a question I’d like to ask about your Workflow, but I won’t ask it here – if you get 5 mins to help me out, drop me a mail :)

    Again – awesome work :)
