film
TMAX
Here is some more film I shot recently, some Kodak TMAX 3200 speed. I started my journey off as a photographer with digital, and more recently I’ve been backtracking and experimenting with film more, and more. I cant wait until I get comfortable shooting film that I can offer it to my customers, until then it will be for personal work, and I’ll slowly roll it into wedding packages. Here are a few of my dogs and girlfriend, Blair. I’ll also be uploading a bunch of photos into my photoshelter account soon where you can purchase prints from me.
Busy, busy, busy….
Lots going on, and I’ve been either to busy or tired to get on here and give you some previews lately, so here is a big random update. I’ll start with the most recent, bicycles… I’ve been riding my little kids bicycle around quite a bit and have been having a blast. This past weekend there was a small jam/demo at a skatepark up north called Ramp Ranch, I snapped this quick shot of Hanson Little jumping out of the bowl quarter on the far right and wall riding into the small quarter. It was up on Mutiny Bikes website after the jam which was pretty rad! Go ride a bike now!

Next up is some film, I recently purchased myself a new film camera and have been shooting more film than usual. When I say new, I do mean new to me as the camera is 10 years old (Nikon F100 if your curious)! Here is a couple from the last roll I got developed from the old F100.

and here from the cult classic… Holga

Last month I did a press kit shoot with the local band We Paint The Town

Finally, a quick editorial shoot for a new small indie music magazine out of San Antonio called Backbeat Magazine for a gear talk section with a local musician. Robert Cherry brought out a couple speakers and a lot of cables, to bad we didn’t make and loud noises.

One final thing, I recently setup a facebook page, so please add it and spread the word.
Film Developed
I had a couple rolls of film sitting on my shelf collecting dust for the past few months and finally decided to get them developed, along with finishing off a half of one roll. The images that came back were pretty neat, a lot of stuff from May/April of this year. A good portion was some photographs I made while visiting my cousin up in Seattle Washington, here are a few from that trip. The first two are of the city it’s self, I love photographs of huge building clumped together making a sweet skyline. Along with this development process I learned that there is some light leakage going on somewhere, and the shutter on my Holga doesn’t quite match up with the flash sync the hot shoe puts out, that or I was doing something completely wrong that night and made half the roll black. Next time hopefully things will be different with the old Holga.
This one was from the top of the space needle

and here from a huge hill I saw while on top of the needle

Self portrait time inside the library in downtown Seattle, WA. The library was a sight to see itself, each floor was different and the floor you see here was made up of RED hallways.

Finally to end it, was the trip back home, sitting on the plane waiting to get off so I can enjoy some awesome food that Austin, TX creates.

You can find a few more from this roll or 2 right HERE on my Flickr
