I had a early morning session with the Dukes this past tuesday down by Town Lake here in Austin, TX. Just a simple post wedding portrait session after they just signed the papers last month with no ceremony. We all had a blast even though it was 7 am and felt like the Texas heat was in the high 90′s halfway through the shoot. Here are a few of my favorites from the morning:

You may recognize June if you have looked through my portfolio any, she is a friend of mine’s daughter and extremely cute! I’ve done a series of shoots with her throughout the past year and this was the last of that series ending with her being 1 year old. Other than getting bigger and able to run faster she still makes the same awesome face and hand expressions, I spent a few hours with her Saturday morning down by Town Lake/Lady Bird Lake and for well over 50 great shots, I liked them all but I just can’t let myself post 50 pictures in a blog posting, so here is 10 of my favorites. Oh, and the dogs came out for this one.

The 4th of July this year some friends of mine got hitched, Zach and Mary Frady. It was a awesome day, and I was stoked to be there to document the day for them.

I made a trip down to Corpus with Coptic Times and Hold Fast for a benefit show to help out the families of a recent car wreck cause by a drunk driver. 1 life was lost, and another still stuck in the hospital, R.I.P. Cris Issac. It was awesome to see how a small group of hardcore kids around Texas came together for this show and to benefit the families, over $1,000 was raised from this first set of shows around Texas.
Here are a few photos I managed to grab, all with my 35mm ƒ2 lens attached to my D700, what is slowly becoming my favorite setup. I kept this show simple with just the camera and no lights setup like I have been playing around with a few shows back, I’ve really been enjoying the low light capabilities of the D700.
The Golden Age

Killer Ape

Sudden Death

Some new Straight Edge band from Dallas area that doesnt have a name yet?

Coptic Times

Bitter End

and the much anticipated HoldxFast reunion show

The rest of the pictures can be viewed here, as well as if you purchase a print from this set the proceeds will be donated to the families.
